Dear Parents and Students,
STEAM night was a success!l Thank you to those of you who stopped by our grade level project on electricity and circuits. A huge congratulations to Mattie! Her science fair project has been selected to move on to regionals. Way to go!
School Supplies:
Now that we've made it half way through the year, some student's supplies have dwindled down (ie. pencils, glue sticks, erasers...) Please check with your child to see if any of their supplies need replenishing. Thank you!
Reading Log:
We will be completing the library Six Flags and Schlitterbahn Reading Incentives for our logs. The form was in the Tuesday Folder. Students are to read nightly and complete BOTH forms. The six hours for the Six Flags ticket can be used for 6 of the 10 hours for the Schlitterbahn ticket. Please make sure you sign each form. Students are required to show me their progress on Fridays.
Night Writes:
Night Writes were explained on Thursday. Your child should circle their expository prompt choice, complete a brainstorming page, 4 square plan, rough draft (revising and editing also), and a final copy. Parents are encouraged to help their child, but please do not write the composition. Your initials are required on the final draft. Night Writes are due January 30th but are accepted prior to that date.
