Dear Parents,
Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and came to our showcase! I was so pleased with all the hard work the students prepared and presented. Your students showed such maturity and leadership. Congratulations to Hannah for her winning estimation.
Volunteer Luncheon: Don't forget to join us for lunch on Tuesday, May 24. We would love to thank each of you personally for all you do for our students and school.
The Meadows Center: Our field trip to The Meadows Center (aka Aquarena Springs) in San Marcos is Friday, May 27th. Your child will need to bring a disposable sack lunch and drink. If you plan to pack a lunch that needs to stay cool, you may want to freeze a water bottle to place inside the sack to keep the food refrigerated. We ask that the children wear their CCE t-shirts. We look forward to learning more about our natural springs and aquatic species. If you have a picnic blanket that we could use, please email me.
From the Lunchroom: Please inform your students that they will not be able to "run a tab" for the rest of this school year. If they do not have enough money in their lunch account that day, they will be given a cheese sandwich.
Memory Books: If you have any scrap booking supplies, stickers, stationery, etc, please send those in with your child. We will begin making our Memory books soon and appreciate any materials.
End of year party: Our end of year class party will be on Thursday, June 2, from 8:00-9:10 a.m. Our room moms have a fun filled pancake party planned for my lucky students! I hope you can join us as we celebrate the end of our Fourth Grade year together. Remember to sign in at the office to pick up your visitors pass before coming to the classroom. Child care will not be provided due to class parties being held at different times throughout the day. Our class is so thankful to Ms. Jourdan and Ms. Ramsey for all the time they gave us this year as our room moms! Many thanks to all the parents who also volunteered for our parties, events and generous donations this year. You all have made everything special!
