Oh my goodness!!!! I walked into the teacher's lounge today to a "sweet" winter wonderland! Thank you so much for everyone who donated cookies to the staff today to help make our holiday bright! We felt very loved and appreciated. I don't fit in regular jeans right now anyway...... what's one more cookie?! ;)
This week your students participated in Robolab. It is always a memorable day of fun, exploration and learning. The students built and programmed a saw that actually was able to cut paper and then a bot that used sensors to follow a given path. It always amazes me what they create. This is definitely a program that is preparing them for future technologies. Thank you to the Ms. Wada and the volunteer parents for being here to offer some hands on support. It is always needed and very appreciated!
From the counselor....
Wow! December is here and it is time for our Character Word of the Month!! Our character word for December is PATIENCE! In school, we show patience with our friends when we let them go first or ask them nicely to do things. At home, we show patience with our brothers and sisters when they annoy us. Patience means that you remain calm--even when something is frustrating to you. In December, if your teacher sees you being patient, then you will get a sticker to wear all day so that other students will know that you demonstrated our Character Word of the Month!!
Enjoy your weekend,
Mary Jo
