Dear Parents and students,
Yeehaw! What an incredible Texas Day! Thank you so much for all you did from materials to ingredients and crock pots, we couldn't have pulled it off without you. It is definitely one of their favorite and most memorable experiences of 4th grade. A special thank you to Francesca for making 100 Texas shaped sugar cookies. We appreciate you!
*****FAMOUS TEXAN REPORT and PROJECT DUE WEDNESDAY!*****
FREE BREAKFAST for all students Monday - Wednesday
Nothing prepares students better for testing than a healthy, satisfying breakfast! On STAAR testing days (Monday - Wednesday) breakfast is FREE to ALL students! Students can start their day off right with a delicious meal in the cafeteria and then head off to their classrooms!
STAAR Math and Reading:
As you know, we will be taking the Math and Reading STAAR next Monday and Tuesday. Please help by ensuring your child has a full night's rest and a healthy and filling breakfast. A snack will be provided each day. If you would like to send an additional snack with your child, please make sure it is a dry, non-sticky snack. Snacks that stain fingers and/or are juicy (ie. cheetos, and fruit....) also stain STAAR documents and answer sheets.
ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING RECORDERS THE WEEK OF MAY 15th
Symphony Field Trip
Mrs. Martin selects the fourth graders each year to attend an interactive, kid centered performance by the Austin symphony. If you have not done so, please return the purple permission form that went home in the Tuesday folder. I would like to have our classroom set complete as soon as possible so I can give them to Mrs. Martin so she knows how many students to plan for. Thank you!
