Wow! What a week! The days are flying by as we head into summer. Our last two testing days are Monday and Tuesday. We will celebrate a year of hard work on Thursday, May 17th with an End of Year Showcase! It will be from 7:20 - 7:45. I hope to see you all there!
The 4th grade Homeroom moms have made snacks for test day. Your child is welcome to bring additional snacks. We do ask that all snacks are dry and nutritious. We also ask that you do not send snacks like Cheetos, Ranch Doritos, etc. due to the orange coating. Messy fingers mean messy scan trons. If food is transferred onto their answer document there is A LOT of work that has to go into transcribing the whole document! UGH!! :)
A Note from Jenn Smith - Robolab instructor:
It's time once again for Robolab! In this session, we will learn about the engineering design process as we build, program, and battle sumo bots! Parent volunteers help make Robolab even more fun for everyone. Come join your child and see what they are doing! You do not need to know anything about Legos or programming; you only need to encourage them to solve problems and supervise them while they build. If you cannot come for the entire block of time, that's okay! Just note what times you will be able to be there with your signup. Any and all help is appreciated!
Note that you must be registered as a volunteer in the RRISD system in order to attend. More information can be found at this link:
