Dear Parents,
It has been another busy week in fourth grade! Thank you to those who walked to school for Earth Day on Tuesday. Please mark your calendars for May 11. Students will showcase their work from 7:20-7:45. I look forward to seeing you.
Spring Fever: We still have many more weeks of learning ahead of us. Homework and early bedtimes have a hard time competing with longer days, lots of sunshine, and evening practices and games. Please continue to make school a priority even on the busy days of spring sports and outdoor activities. Students are required to read 20 minutes each night, as well as, TTM practice. At this time of year, it does take all hands on deck to keep our ship sailing. Thank you.
Texas Day: Please be sure and read the chili cook-off information that came home in Tuesday's folder. Round up those crock pots!
From Ms. McCall: Our character word of the month is honesty.
Field Trip: The trip to The Meadows Center was a wonderful learning experience for us. The highlight was riding on the glass bottom boat!
Thank you for reading this newsletter. It is important that we connect school and home.
Enjoy these beautiful days,
Mary Jo
